About Dry 1 Out Restoration and Construction
Dry 1 Out Restoration and Construction has served Vista since 2026. Meet our IICRC-certified restoration team. Licensed, insured, locally owned.
Dry 1 Out Restoration and Construction was founded in 2026 with a narrow focus: water, fire, storm, and biohazard losses are different from other contracting work, and they deserve a crew that treats them that way. Restoration isn’t renovation on a deadline. It’s showing up while a homeowner is still figuring out where the water came from, or while an insurance adjuster is asking questions nobody prepared them for. That’s the work we built the company around.
What we do
Most days start with a call that wasn’t planned. A supply line let go behind a washing machine. A kitchen fire that stopped at the cabinets but left smoke everywhere. A sewer backup in a finished basement. Because we’re on call 24/7, that call gets answered whether it comes in at nine in the morning or three in the morning, and someone starts asking the questions that matter: what’s wet, what’s burned, what’s contaminated, and how fast does it need to stop spreading.
A good share of what we do runs through insurance claims, which means documentation matters as much as equipment. We photograph the loss, note moisture readings, and write up scope in a way adjusters can actually use, because a homeowner dealing with a flooded first floor shouldn’t also have to become fluent in claims paperwork. We also take on renovation and reconstruction work, both as the rebuild phase after a loss and as standalone general contracting, so a property can go from damaged to finished without changing hands between crews.
Our certifications and licensure
Dry 1 Out Restoration and Construction is an IICRC Certified Firm, and our technicians carry IICRC credentials in water restoration (WRT), structural drying (ASD), mold remediation (AMRT), and fire and smoke restoration (FSRT). These aren’t marketing badges. The IICRC sets the technical standards the restoration industry actually follows, things like how long a structure needs to dry before it’s safe to close back up, or how to contain a mold-affected area so remediation doesn’t just spread spores to the next room. When we say a job was dried to standard, that standard has a name and a number behind it.
We hold license #993442, and we carry insurance to work on both residential and commercial properties, which matters when you’re letting a crew into your home or business during the worst week of the year.
Where we work
We’re based in Vista and work across the surrounding San Diego County communities, from older inland neighborhoods with original plumbing and slab foundations to coastal properties dealing with the kind of humidity and marine air that gives mold a head start. North County’s mix of established homes and newer construction means no two jobs look alike, and we built our process to handle that range rather than assume every house behaves like the last one.
